The stationary Combi Package basic consists of the following products for determining density index:

Using the stationary bench unit 3VT basic, two melt samples are poured for comparison purposes. One of the samples is poured at a defined vacuum of 80 mbar and the other at atmospheric pressure. The Electronic Balance MK 3000 is then used to determine the density index automatically on the basis of the principle of Archimedes. The density index represents the percentage difference in density of the two samples. The lower the density index the cleaner the aluminium melt.

The advantages of a chamber are described in the section pre-heating chamber are described in the section Combi Package plus.

Special features:

  • Long lifespan due to design based on the special requirements of the foundry
  • User-friendly design
  • Process reliability through fully electronic control:
  • - fully automatic control of vacuum to 80 mbar
    - leakage indicator
    - cycle counter

  • Exact calculation of density to four decimal places (0,0000 g/cm³)
  • Interface for transferring density index results to:
  • - the PC Software provided
    - the optional Memory Box
  • Capable of 100% calibration
  • CE conformity
  • Tested to DGUV standard

The PC Software supplied with the unit permits:

  • Saving of measurements
